Visit MPH at New York Comic Con!April 15th, 2008Looking for something to do this week? myplasticheart will have a ton of stuff going on for New York Comic Con weekend. Start yourself off with a pre-Comic Con opening party this thursday 4/17 at our retail shop and gallery featuring custom 10 inch Mad*l figures designed by MAD himself! We’ll then be stationed all weekend long at the myplasticheart booth (#866) during the New York Comic Con at the Jacob Javits center (4/18-4/20). We’ll be releasing a bunch of exclusive items as well as debuting a couple of upcoming releases. “Some Stuff I Made” Custom 10 inch Mad*ls by MADApril 15th, 2008myplasticheart is proud to present “Some Stuff I Made”, the first NYC Solo show by top tier toy designer Jeremy Madl (MAD). The show features the debut of customized 10 inch Mad*ls designed by MAD himself as well as a retrospective of the Mad*l design through it’s existence at the beginning of the Western designer toy phenomena. “Some Stuff I Made” myplasticheart nyc “A Tale of Death and the Path to Darkness” by Krista Huot and ParskidFebruary 15th, 2008Krista Huot and Parskid return to myplasticheartnyc with a dark fable about sacrifice and power. Custom Moneygrip ShowJanuary 8th, 2008KaNOkid and myplasticheart cordially invite you to join us in the first ever show featuring customized Moneygrip figures at the myplasticheartnyc gallery in NYC on January of 2008. This custom show features up to 50 unique interpretations of the Moneygrip canvas from the scene’s biggest and brightest stars. Exhibition runs through February 20th 2008. Get a Grip! myplasticheart Artist list Keep it Ninja NYC!November 19th, 2007Shawnimals creator Shawn Smith has created a variety of new Ninjatown-inspired works for his myplasticheart art exhibition in December including never-before-seen fabric collages. These multi-layered wall-based felt constructions will involve the same style of imagery and illustration Shawn has become known for, except in a form somewhere between sculpture and painting, similar to relief. These new works will be accompanied by smaller painted panels, and two all-new handmade special edition plush – Pocket Zombie Ninja and Super Ninja – available in limited quantities which Shawn created alongside creative collaborator Jen Brody and the Shawnimals staff. In addition, an exclusive Keep it Ninja exhibition t-shirt will be available and the all-new Ninjatown Micro Plush blind box series from Squibbles / Rotofugi. Other Shawnimals merchandise will be available as well, like shirts, buttons, stickers, and, of course, plush.
